This is to confirm our Client’s intent to purchase up to 700,000 Mt (not less than 350,000M/t) of coal per month over a period of five years from your company.  We represent a government organization in South East Asia who is ready and willing to sign a contract with your company.

They will issue an ICPO to secure the contract on receipt of the FCO from the producing mine.  The financial instrument will be issued on finalization of the contract with your company.

Please send us a Full Corporate Offer on the Mine’s Letter Head with specific mention of Quality Inspection (either Alec Steward or SGS Lakefield), Seller’s ability and willingness to post a 2% Performance Bond, minimum rejection rates and penalties as well as Fee Protection for intermediaries.

As you may have been informed our organisation has been involved in the international marketing and distribution of coal since 2005 and has been responsible for the coordination of contracts in excess of 10 million tons to different countries.  The coal marketed by our company has largely been sourced from South Africa.

With regard to your offer, the Principal Buyer would be happy to place an order for the required tonnage but in line with their policy, we are under obligation to provide the Buyer with the requisite information to enable them to take the process forward.  Consequently, we hereby request the following information:

1. Name of Producing Mine and of Producing Company

2. Location and Production Capacity of the Mine to be verified during a Site visit and inspection

3. Availability of Washing Plant

4. Name of Rail Head and it’s number for the Railing to the Exporting Port

5. Full Specifications of the COAL (CoA) as required:
